Projects
LNS has in recent years worked on a number of projects of all sizes in Norway and abroad. The projects are varied, spanning from road and tunnel construction to mining operation and logistics services in the polar regions.
Currently, LNS is involved in the construction of SILA – Narvik’s new ore harbour, an enormous project, which will give the Swedish company LKAB a total of 12 new underground silos in which to store ore pellets.
LNS is also involved in mining operations several other places in mainland Norway, and on Spitsbergen. In the Antarctic, LNS Spitsbergen has been hired to construct satellite antennas for NASA and the ESA.
In the fall of 2008, LNS has wrapped up another large project: the construction of seven dual-bore tunnels on the new motorway between Kristiansand and Grimstad. At the same time, LNS has startet two new projects. One is protecting the main road on Grytøya from rock slides, and the other is improving the condition of Rv 80 between Fauske and Bodø.
