Landslides- and avalanche protection for E10 Lofoten
Landslides- and avalanche protection for E10 through Fjøsdalen is one of many projects establishing slide protection measures along the E10 throughout Western Lofoten.
This particular project, awarded to LNS, established Landslides- and avalanche protection measures for three areas in Fjøsdalen particularly vulnerable to slides, as well as for two smaller areas further west.
The E10 through Lofoten is classified as a National Tourist Route.

Description |
The tunnel is a continuation of the straight road to the east of this project area, which involves 1,600 meters of tunnel and 450 meters of open road. The road was built 6.5 meters wide, of which 5.5 meters were roadway. The road’s design speed is 80 km/h. |
