Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Spitsbergen
LNS was responsible for the construction of the UN Global Seed Vault on Spitsbergen. The seed vault is built into the mountains of Spitsbergen, as a safety vault, and comprises tunnels and three rock caverns. The permafrost in the rock surrounding these caverns ensures an even temperature of -18° Celsius.
Rv 80 Røvik - Strømsnes
The Salten road project comprises three different road projects, where one project involves improving the condition of the Rv 80 between Rørvik and Strømsnes in the Municipality of Fauske. The objective of this project is to make the roads safer and travel times shorter, and to reduce the environmental impact this road has on local residents in terms of noise emissions.
Jarlsberg Contract
The Modernisation of the Vestfold Line consists of four projects altogheter. Leonhard Nilsen & Sønner AS has, in cooperation with Reinertsen Anlegg AS, got the job to built the new double track between Barkåker and Tønsberg, a project named the Jarlsberg Contract.
Fv. 882 Rehabilitering Øksfjordtunnelen
Prosjektet omfatter rehabilitering av Øksfjordtunnelen. I denne rehabiliteringen inngår vann- og frostsikring i deler av tunnelen. Utstrossing av seks eksisterende møteplasser og en snunisje samt utsprengning av en ny snunisje.
Narvikterminalen, Fagernes
Prosjektet gjelder ferdigstillelse av utfyllingen av området Narvikterminalen på Fagernes. Det er igangsatt en utvidelse av containerarealet på ca 45.000 m2, som er mer enn det dobbelte av det Norges største terminal i Oslo i dag håndterer.
SILA
On behalf of LKAB, LNS is in the process of constructing the SILA facility in Narvik. This project will provide LKAB with twelve new silos for storing various iron ore products. The silos, which are blasted out of the rock, have a diameter of 38 meters and a depth of 60 meters. The project is massive, and quite unique on a global scale.
PPP E18
LNS is in charge of constructing all seven two-tube tunnels on the new four-lane motorway between Kristiansand and Grimstad. The tunnels have a total length of 12 kilometers, of which the shortest tunnel is 150 meters long and the longest 2.2 kilometers.
Mauken - Blåtind
Entreprisen er andre byggetrinn av sammenbindingsveien mellom Blåting og Mauken skytefelt og omfatter traseen fra E6, der første byggetrinn har nye ramper langs E6, frem til SIBO anlegget på Mauken. LNS var underentreprenør på tunnelen.
Kvænangen hydro power project
LNS is the primary contractor for the Boullanjåkka project, which will increase the energy production of Kvænangen hydro power plant by almost ten percent.
Landslides- and avalanche protection for E10 Lofoten
Landslides- and avalanche protection for E10 through Fjøsdalen is one of many projects establishing slide protection measures along the E10 throughout Western Lofoten.
