Logistics under polar conditions
For close to ten years, LNS has worked with various logistics projects in Spitsbergen. These projects range from ploughing snow in Longyearbyen to transporting coal in Svea.
Parts of Spitsbergen may, as a consequence of adverse weather and other extreme conditions, be isolated and inaccessible for up to eight months of the year.
Experience with working in Spitsbergen has given LNS a unique and highly sought-after expertise in terms of resolving and completing projects in sites with complicated logistical challenges. This expertise has also come in handy during projects in Iceland, Greenland, and the Antarctic.
