The Hem tunnel
During construction of the new E18 between Kopstad and Gulli, LNS was responsible for the Hem tunnel in Tønsberg. As a result of this project, motorists can drive along a continuous motorway between Oslo and Tønsberg.
A large part of this stretch of motorway is either dug into the ground or run through tunnels. Even though Vestfold is a relatively flat county, it was absolutely necessary to build tunnels and bridges to fulfill the requirements of a modern motorway.
